Oncology Imaging

Updated: May 10

Cancer imaging has been a focal point of Dr. Frost and BioMolecular Imaging in the clinic and in research for decades. This extends from standard nuclear medicine imaging to the first FDG PET implementation at Johns Hopkins and has also led to novel investigatory work that first demonstrated elevated mu and delta opiate receptors in lung carcinoma patients.

As with other organ systems, Dr. Frost and BioMolecular Imaging are able to assist you in developing any complex strategy involving oncologic imaging.

Dr. Frost has also published an article trilogy dealing with cancer physics, information, and computation. These lay out the fundamental and foundational properties of cancer, including symmetry breaking and computational intelligence.

In the area of commercial development, Dr. Frost has been an active presence for many pharmaceutical industry partners; first-time biotech companies embarking on molecular imaging ventures; bringing new molecular imaging probes to FDA approval; and helping launch new agents by chairing company advisory boards and educating the clinic physicians.

He is also a board-certified radiologist and nuclear medicine physician and has a PhD in nuclear and radiochemistry. Accordingly, he is capable of achieving the first high-level evaluation for any new project and then helping develop the in-depth components that immediately follow. When subdomain expertise is needed, Dr. Frost can draw on a long list of specialists in radiochemistry, physics, imaging CROs, and others and bring them to the table.
